Our Curriculum

Over the past few years, the faculty and staff at St.Raphael the Archangel School have attended professional development opportunities to gain greater knowledge and understanding about Standards-based learning and developing learning units through the Understanding by Design model.

St. Raphael the Archangel School has fully aligned its curriculum with the St. Louis Archdiocesan Unified PK-8 Curriculum Standards. Our faculty identifies the target learning skills from the Unified Standards and creates well-designed learning experiences for our students that build upon core reading and math understanding and the 4 C’s of 21st-century learning skills: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity.

St. Raphael the Archangel School has also adopted the NWEA Assessment to assess our students' achievement and growth. Because our students are assessed three times a year with the NWEA Assessment, the school can consistently monitor student progress throughout the year.
